MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator VimpelCom, working under the Beeline brand, obtained a patent on March 13 to use a shorter version of its logo with a small letter “b” with a full stop, according to the register of the Federal Intellectual Property Service seen by PRIME on Wednesday.
“It is an alternative logo of the company, a small letter ‘b’ with a full stop, we have been using it since last year. ‘b.’ appeared for the first time as an icon of a trial version of our mobile application, and our clients could see it on Beeline’s merch,” a company representative said.
The company said the logo’s registration with the Federal Intellectual Property Service is a usual legal practice.
